Motivation

In my first year as an engineering student here, the EUS was beginning its journey to become a more encompassing organization. There were the years where many student groups were hostile against the EUS and applied very negative stereotypes to anyone who wore a red jacket. This was not unfounded however as the EUS was failing to address many student needs while not being held accountable for its actions. However, as I saw, the EUS was working tirelessly to improve.

“Help us change. We can be better. This is Your EUS.” These were the words that student leaders then were saying. I then had already fallen in love with the engineering spirit and was just beginning to see the vast potential of the EUS. I believed these words, and I still do today.

We have come a long way, but there is still so much the EUS can do better.

In this time of change, a president must be there with knowledge of not only what must be changed, but how. Beyond that, they must understand the balance between our amazing spirit and traditions and our transformation into a more diverse and welcoming society. With my accumulated years of experience, discussions, debates, initiatives and changes, I am now both the most ready and the most passionate candidate for president.
