During my seven years of experience working with and for the EUS, Amanda has never ceased to amaze me with her dedication to her work, her ability to learn what she needs to perform a task based on best practice, and her passion for supporting students through the EUS.  She can be directly credited for the complete revitalization of all aspects of the Undergraduate Society's marketing management and is responsible for the continued rapid growth of the Society’s strong program of academic services.

I have seen Amanda develop from an excited and passionate first year student into an amazingly capable, highly competent, and fair leader.  Her time at UBC has bred and shaped her into the perfect candidate for this position and I do not hesitate to suggest that Amanda Li is the most appropriate person to be the next EUS President, bar none.

I have worked with Amanda for the past two years with the UBC Thunderbots as a Team Advisor where she has proven an immense capacity for leadership, organization and foresight.  Amanda’s contributions to the team have been a leading factor in our success, with tremendous growth in size, visibility and financial stability.  Amanda is dedicated, hard-working and excellent with people.  I strongly believe in her ability lead and help the EUS grow as she has helped our team and I fully endorse her for EUS President.

I’ve known Amanda since my first year in engineering; we were both on the First Year Council, became Co-Publicity Rep. of the Engineering Undergraduate Society (EUS) in 2nd year, and continued our involvement as EUS executives in 3rd year. During my involvement in the UBC Engineering community, I have met many dedicated volunteers and student leaders, both past and present. Nevertheless, it is difficult for me to name a person who is as dedicated and cares about the EUS as much as Amanda does. Amanda and I have one thing in common, we both love the EUS, the engineering community, the traditions and the spirit. But unlike myself, she also has a vision in which the EUS encompasses more students and has a far greater positive effect on our engineering community, and she’s not afraid to take initiative. Just think of her as a super hybrid of proud engineers of the past and great student leaders of today - because that is how awesome she is.
