I am currently in my 4th year of school here studying Mechanical Engineering, in the Mechatronics option. Beyond the heavy doses of circuits, heat transfer and kinematics daily, I enjoy being quite involved and giving back to the engineering community. Whether it’s the EUS, the UBC Thunderbots student team, UBC Orientations and more, I am happily addicted to it and you can see my many accomplishments in the experience section.
Outside of school I have a passion for competitive latin and standard ballroom dancing. If you are interested, I will happily dance with you! I also enjoy playing the piano and the saxophone and was quite a band nerd for some time.
On the sports side of things I love racing down mountains on skis, playing netball and ultimate and biking around Vancouver. I actually enjoy every sport I’ve tried so far, but those are the only ones I’m any good at.
If I had any spare time beyond these aforementioned hobbies (hah!), I would fill it up with reading an endless number of books, learning how to use more Adobe products and frolicking in the sun. Oh, and napping of course!
I was born in Toronto, Canada, grew up in Burnaby, and am a proud paint-leaf-on-face Canadian. My family is Chinese and I have recently had the great experience of spending a summer in Shanghai interning for two companies!
